Conveyor systems operating in abrasive, high-wear, or product-sensitive environments often face premature belt wear, damaged products, and costly maintenance. Continuous contact with cutting surfaces, abrasive materials, or exposed mechanical fasteners can shorten belt life, increase downtime, and negatively impact product quality.
Many applications only experience wear in specific areas, making full belt replacement or complete belt coverings an inefficient and costly solution. At the same time, exposed wire mesh belts and lace joints can create product damage risks in industries where surface protection is critical.
Sparks Mol custom cast urethane solutions provide targeted protection and enhanced durability for conveyor systems facing challenging operating conditions. Thermal set polyurethane can be cast directly onto belts, wire mesh conveyors, and mechanical joints to improve wear resistance, protect products, and extend conveyor life.
Our patented SOKITTOOIT® wear strips provide localized abrasion protection exactly where wear occurs, while smooth top covers and capped edges transform open mesh belts into highly durable conveying surfaces. Urethane-covered lace joints help prevent product damage by shielding exposed mechanical fasteners from direct product contact. Cast Urethane Options
SOKITTOOIT
Patented SOKITTOOIT® polyurethane wear strips are strategically cast onto the belt’s top surface in high-wear areas to prevent localized wear. This targeted protection is ideal for cutting and abrasive applications.
Cast Urethane V-Guides
Cast urethane v-guides allow tighter control of both lateral and longitudinal belt tracking as well as greater speed control, and will never delaminate from your belt. It is best suited for applications with a lot of abrasion and debris build-up. Cast urethane is long-lasting, durable, and perfect for demanding applications where standard v-guides tend to wear out quickly.
Smooth Top Cover & Capped Edges
A smooth top cover and capped edges are cast onto a wire mesh belt to provide an extremely durable conveyor belt. This is most commonly used for “Coil Wrapper” applications in the steel industry.
Urethane Covered Lace Joints
Urethane Covered Lace Joints are used to protect product from being cut, scratched, or otherwise damaged by mechanical (laces) belt fasteners.
Cleats
Cast urethane cleats provide durable, wear-resistant product handling for demanding conveying applications. Molded for strength and consistency, these cleats offer excellent abrasion resistance and reliable product control on incline and elevating conveyors.
